The MemGold? screens are the result of data mining of successful crystallization conditions for alpha helical prokaryotic and eukaryotic membrane proteins. In 2008, Molecular Dimensions released MemGold?; a rationalized sparse matrix type membrane protein crystallization screen. MemGold? was based on the crystallization conditions for 121 alpha helical membrane proteins deposited in the PDB.

• Data mined from 300 crystallization conditions for a-helical transmembrane proteins.

• Covers conditions for approximately 130 different membrane protein structures in the PDB.

• Addresses the diversity of membrane proteins studied.
